Delete your account How to remove the account itself, what goes, and what cannot go.
How#
Open the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete account , and confirm with your QuiNVarium number. The app tells our servers to remove the account, then erases the data on the device.
If you use message backups, turn them off first — Settings → Backups. That deletes the backup from our servers. Deleting the account alone does not reach it, because a backup is stored under an identifier our server cannot link to your account. What is removed#
Your account record, your registered devices and their keys. Your QuiNVarium number, which stops working immediately. Your profile name, picture and username. Your encrypted settings backup. Any messages still waiting in the delivery queue. The message history on the device you delete from. What cannot be removed#
Messages already delivered are on the other person's device, and neither we nor you can reach them. Encrypted attachments already fetched are on the recipient's device; the copies we hold expire on their own within thirty days.
Deleting is permanent. The account cannot be restored afterwards, not even with your twelve words. If you have lost the device#
Restore the account with your twelve words on another device and delete it from there. We cannot delete an account on request, because we have no way to tell the owner from anyone else who knows the number.
