Notifications do not arrive
When a message only appears after you open the app.
Push notifications are delivered by Apple. If they stop arriving:
- Check that notifications are allowed for the app in the iPhone's Settings.
- Check that Focus or Do Not Disturb is not filtering them.
- Check that Low Power Mode is not restricting background activity.
- Restart the device once: notification registration is re-established at start-up.
The notification tells your device that something has arrived; the message itself is fetched and decrypted on the device, so a notification never contains the text before your phone has it.
