Back up your recovery phrase
The twelve words are the account. Keep them, and you can come back; lose them, and nobody can help.
Every key that belongs to your account is derived from the twelve words generated on your device at registration. We never receive them, we cannot derive them, and we hold nothing that would let us rebuild them.
Keeping them safe#
- Write them on paper. Store the paper where a thief or a fire will not reach both it and your phone.
- Do not photograph them, and do not put them in a note that syncs to a cloud.
- Never send them to anyone, including to us.
