What the QuiNVarium messenger is
A private messenger that creates the account on your device instead of asking for a phone number.
QuiNVarium is a messenger for private conversations between people who choose to talk to each other. It does not use telephone numbers, it does not send verification codes, and it has no public directory in which strangers can find you.
How an account is created#
When you open the app for the first time it generates a recovery phrase of twelve words on the device and derives your keys from it. Our servers assign you a QuiNVarium number — an address inside the service that begins with +999 and belongs to no telephone network. Nothing is typed in, no carrier is involved, and there is no code to wait for.
How conversations start#
A conversation begins because someone shared an address with someone else: a QuiNVarium number, a username, a group invite link or a QR code. Nobody is matched with a stranger at random.
