Memos and tags
Include the destination identifier required by an exchange or service in addition to the network address.
Some exchanges and custodial services use one address for many customers. A memo, destination tag, payment ID or comment tells that service which customer should receive the deposit.
When sending to a service#
- Open the deposit page at the receiving exchange or service.
- Select the asset and network.
- Copy the deposit address.
- If the service shows a memo, destination tag or comment, copy it exactly.
- Enter the address and identifier in QuiNVarium Wallet and review both before confirming.
Receiving into QuiNVarium Wallet#
QuiNVarium Wallet gives you a personal receiving address. A memo or destination tag is not required when another wallet or exchange sends assets to that address. If the sending service refuses an empty memo field, follow that service's withdrawal instructions; the identifier belongs to the sending service's process.
If it was omitted#
Keep the transaction hash, network, amount, address and exchange account details. Contact the receiving service through its official support channel. Only that service can determine whether it can credit a deposit sent without its required identifier.
