Privacy overview

A self-custody wallet reduces one important dependency: you do not need to hand control of your assets to a custodial account. It does not make every activity private.

Four data boundaries#

1. On your device#

The app may store wallet settings, asset lists, address-book entries and other local state. The Privacy Policy and platform documentation explain the storage, protection, backup and deletion behavior of the released application.

2. On public networks#

Blockchain addresses, balances, token movements, transaction amounts, timestamps and contract interactions may be visible permanently. A blockchain address is usually pseudonymous, not anonymous. Reusing an address or combining it with exchange, merchant or support records can make activity easier to associate with a person.

3. Through infrastructure#

To show balances and broadcast transactions, a wallet can communicate with blockchain nodes, RPC endpoints, indexers or other infrastructure. Those services can receive technical request data such as an IP address, request time, network and queried address. The Privacy Policy identifies the categories of infrastructure used by the released application.

4. Through optional providers#

Swapping or other partner-operated functions can open a separate service. A provider may process network, address and transaction information under its own terms and privacy policy. QuiNVarium Wallet shows the provider before the user continues.

Recovery data#

A recovery phrase and private key are authentication secrets, not support data. Do not enter them into a website, form, chat or provider page. QuiNVarium Wallet support will not request them.
