Recovery phrase
Understand why the recovery phrase controls wallet restoration and how to store it without creating an online copy.
The recovery phrase represents the secret material used to restore control of the wallet. It is not a support code, login password or identity check.
Keep it private#
Only enter it in the verified QuiNVarium Wallet app when deliberately creating or restoring a wallet. No website, support agent, provider, exchange or network validator needs it.
Keep it recoverable#
- record every word in order;
- protect the copy from water, fire, loss and unauthorized viewing;
- store it separately from the device;
- ensure an authorized recovery plan exists for your circumstances;
- do not rely on memory alone.
Avoid digital exposure#
Screenshots, cloud backups, synced notes, email, chat and shared documents can create copies outside your control. Password protection does not remove every disclosure risk.
Know the difference#
- Recovery phrase: restores the wallet.
- Private key: controls a specific key or account.
- App PIN/biometric: protects local app access on a device.
- Public address: can be shared for receiving, but reveals public activity.
