Watch-only wallet
Follow any public address in the app without its keys: see its balances, but send or sign nothing.
A watch-only wallet adds a public address to the app without its recovery phrase or private key. The app shows the address and its balances, but it cannot sign anything for this address, so it cannot move the funds.
Add an address#
- On the welcome screen, tap Import an Existing Wallet. If you already have a wallet, open Settings → Wallets → Import an Existing Wallet.
- Choose the network of the address; search helps to find it. Multi-Coin accepts only a recovery phrase, so a watch-only wallet always covers one network.
- At the top, switch to Address.
- Enter the address, tap Paste, or tap Scan to read its QR code.
- Read the note under the field and tap Import.
What you see#
- The balances of the address: the network coin and its tokens.
- Instead of the action buttons, the wallet and asset screens show Watch-only wallet. You don't control these funds. Tap it for a short explanation.
- Transfers only on networks for which the app receives history; see Activity and transaction details.
- When you send from one of your own wallets on the same network, the watch-only wallet is offered as a recipient under View Wallets.
What you cannot do#
- send or swap the funds of the address;
- stake, unstake or claim rewards;
- send NFTs;
- connect the wallet to a dApp through WalletConnect;
- show a recovery phrase or private key: the app does not have them.
Remove a watch-only wallet#
Open Settings → Wallets, open the details of the wallet and tap Delete. The address disappears from the app; nothing changes on the blockchain.
To show balances and history, the app sends the watched address to the QuiNVarium Wallet service. Deleting the wallet removes the address from the service as well. See the Privacy Policy.
