WalletConnect

WalletConnect links QuiNVarium Wallet to a website or app (a dApp) on another screen or device. The dApp can then send the wallet requests to sign messages and transactions; nothing is signed until you confirm it in the wallet.

WalletConnect works with Ethereum and the other EVM networks in the app, Solana, Sui, TON and TRON. A watch-only wallet cannot be connected.

Connect to a dApp#

1. On the dApp, choose WalletConnect. It shows a QR code or a connection link.
2. In the wallet, open Settings → WalletConnect.
3. Tap Scan QR Code and scan the code, or copy the link and tap Paste.
4. On the Connect screen, check the name and the website of the dApp.
5. Under Wallet, check which wallet will be connected; tap it to choose another.
6. Check Status: Verified means WalletConnect confirmed that the request comes from the website shown; Unverified means it could not confirm this.
7. Read Permissions: View your balance and activity and Send approval requests.
8. Tap Confirm to connect, or ✕ to refuse.

If WalletConnect reports the website as invalid or malicious, the app refuses the connection with This connection comes from an untrusted source. If none of your wallets has the networks the dApp requires, it shows No supported wallets are available.

Review requests#

Every request from a connected dApp opens in the wallet as Review Request:

• a message shows its text; View Full Message shows all of it;
• a transaction shows the network, the network fee and any warning the app gives, for example Unlimited token approval.

Tap Confirm only if you started the action on the dApp yourself and understand it. ✕ rejects the request. Requests from a website that WalletConnect reports as invalid or malicious are rejected without being shown.

Disconnect#

Open Settings → WalletConnect. Swipe left on a connection and tap Disconnect, or open the connection and tap Disconnect. The connection screen also shows the wallet and the date of the connection. Disconnect sessions you no longer use.

Safety#

• Open dApps only from addresses you trust, and compare the website on Connect with the site you opened.
• An approval request gives permission to spend a token: check the token, the amount and who receives the permission.
• The connection runs through the WalletConnect relay: the relay sees your IP address and the encrypted session; the dApp sees the addresses of the wallet on the connected networks and the requests you sign. See the Privacy Policy.
